Save the Date: RustConf 2025 is Coming to Seattle from September 2-5!

We are thrilled to announce that RustConf 2025 will be held in Seattle, Washington, from September 2-5, 2025! Following the success of our 2024 event in Montreal, we’re excited to bring the conference to the vibrant Pacific Northwest.

Why Seattle?

Our choice of Seattle as the host city for RustConf 2025 was driven by several key factors:

  • Geographic Balance: After hosting RustConf 2024 on the East Coast, we wanted to ensure accessibility for our West Coast community members while also providing convenient flight paths for attendees from the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Community Feedback: The majority of our post-event survey respondents expressed strong interest in bringing RustConf 2025 to the general Pacific Northwest region of North America.
  • International Accessibility: Seattle’s status as a major international hub makes it an ideal location for our global community. The city is known for its strong local protections for international visitors and LGBTQIA+ individuals, aligning with our commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all attendees. We have included some resources on our updated website about local resources for all of our 2025 attendees to feel as safe and welcome as possible while visiting Seattle.

The Venue: Hyatt Regency Seattle

We’re particularly excited to host RustConf 2025 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Seattle. This modern conference facility offers several advantages that will improve the conference experience:

  • Spacious hallways and meeting spaces.
  • Modern (but expected!) accessibility features including escalators, and elevators.
  • Equally-sized breakout rooms for parallel tracks.
  • A dedicated community room for freeform talks.
  • A designated quiet room for attendees who need a quiet space to decompress.
  • High-quality ventilation – the Hyatt Regency Seattle provides 30% more fresh air ventilation than the minimum standard throughout the building while meeting industry standards for thermal comfort.

What’s Next?

In the coming months, we’ll be sharing more detailed information about:

  • Call for Proposals
  • Registration and ticket pricing
  • Workshop details
  • Conference themes
  • Requesting a visa letter*

* We know that some of you will be requiring an official invitation letter to RustConf in order to travel to Washington State in the US. We will be able to offer these letters as soon as registration opens. Last year, it took us too long to get a visa letter request system in place, so rest assured that this will be corrected for this year’s event!

Sponsorship opportunities

RustConf 2025 will not be possible without the support of sponsoring organizations. We’re excited to offer sponsorship packages ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, with additional à la carte options starting at $5,000. Don’t miss this chance to demonstrate your support of the Rust programming language community. Benefits of sponsorship include passes to the event, a booth in the expo hall, thought leadership opportunities, and much more.
For more details, see our newly released prospectus.

Keep an eye on website and social media channels for regular updates about RustConf 2025.

Save the date: September 2-5, 2025. We look forward to welcoming the global Rust community to Seattle!
