RustConf 2025 Registration is Open!

Registration has opened for RustConf 2025! We know many of you have been waiting for your chance to save your spot and make plans to join us in Seattle from September 2-5 (or remotely from wherever you are).  We think your patience will have been well worth it!

As the host of RustConf—the original annual conference dedicated to future-focused discussions about the Rust programming language—the Rust Foundation is thrilled to welcome you to this exciting event. You should join us at RustConf if you are a Rust maintainer, developer technology leader, or work for any organization dedicated to securing, expanding, and innovating in the open source ecosystem with Rust: the most admired programming language!

RustConf in 2025: Looking towards the next decade of Rust and beyond

As we mark ten years since Rust’s first stable release, RustConf 2025 offers more than a retrospective – it’s a launchpad for what’s next.

This year’s conference sets itself apart by looking squarely ahead. While we’ll take a moment to acknowledge the incredible growth and momentum Rust has built over the past decade, our focus is firmly on the future: the next wave of technical breakthroughs, the people pushing Rust into new domains, and the conversations shaping what comes next for the language and the ecosystem.

From bleeding-edge research to production-grade systems, this year’s program tackles the most critical topics in both Rust and the broader tech landscape: AI, edge computing, safety-critical systems, async programming, and more. If you’re interested in how Rust is being used to solve real-world problems in critical, high-impact ways and what’s next in open source, RustConf 2025 is a must-attend.

Check out the full schedule and register to join us as we chart the course for Rust’s next decade.

Introducing: Async Day!

This year at RustConf, we’re dedicating an entire day to unlocking the power of asynchronous Rust. We’re calling it Async Day: a focused, hands-on experience designed for Rust developers who are ready to go deep on real-world async.

Three of our four pre-conference workshops will guide you through production-grade async programming in Rust, led by experts who live and breathe the topic. Whether you’re looking to firm up your understanding of .await, explore async design patterns, or integrate Rust with existing C++ systems, you’ll find a workshop tailored to your goals.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Design robust async systems using real-world tools and runtimes like Tokio
  • Build mental models for async tasks, channels, cancellation, and more
  • Tackle production challenges like interop, debugging, and performance tuning

… and you won’t be doing it alone — you’ll be surrounded by other Rustaceans solving the same problems, with plenty of space to ask questions, share ideas, and get unstuck.

Async Day workshops include:

  • Async Fundamentals (Herbert Wolverson, Ardan Labs): A beginner-friendly dive into Rust’s async model.
  • Async Design Patterns in Rust (Conrad Ludgate). Advanced idioms for writing scalable, ergonomic async code.
  • Async Rust & C++ Interop in Production (Aida Getoeva). A deep technical look at cross-language async systems.

Don’t just talk about async — come build it with other Rustaceans.

Not working with async yet? We’ve got you covered too. We’ll be adding a fourth workshop in another area of focus very soon!

Workshop registration is open to RustConf ticket holders now while capacity remains! Just add your workshop of interest at registration

Workshops are optional and have an additional fee (the exact amount is workshop-dependent). Each workshop overlaps and lasts from morning until late-afternoon/early evening so it will only be possible to choose one.

About Our 2025 Venue

RustConf 2025 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Seattle, Washington. We are particularly excited about this venue as it features key advantages like escalators and wheelchair and scooter-accessible elevators and restrooms. We will offer a quiet room for those with special sensory needs or anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax during the event.

RustConf 2025 will also feature a special community room for impromptu talks and discussions hosted by attendees and the Hyatt Regency. Between the ample natural light, wide hallways, and spacious lobby, our 2025 venue is perfectly suited to a comfortable, accessible experience.

Global Attendees

Rust has always been made possible through a diverse, globally distributed community. We are delighted to welcome RustConf attendees from all over the world! If you live outside the United States and will require a letter of invitation for your travel visa application, we’d be happy to issue one on official letterhead after you have registered for RustConf. Registrants will find details about how to request an invitation letter after purchasing their tickets. We highly encourage all attendees based outside the United States to research their local visa requirements carefully to ensure all details have been considered.

We are aware that visa approval processes can take time and are often complex. For this reason, we have a flexible refund and cancellation process, particularly for anyone attending RustConf from outside the US. If this situation applies to you, you are entitled to a full ticket refund up until 11:59 PM PDT on August 30, 2025 if your visa application is denied. If you encounter any other issues during your travels that prevent you from attending RustConf, our team will be happy to discuss your unique situation via email

We are very excited to host RustConf in beautiful Seattle, having jumped on reserving this venue in October 2024, and feel that offering a Rust conference in North America is important. With that said, we also understand that for many of you, traveling to the United States in 2025 might not be desirable or feel like an option. The RustConf team understands and deeply empathizes with these concerns; they are heavily influencing our 2026 plans. We look forward to announcing the RustConf 2026 location onstage this September.

New Keynote Announcement!

We’re excited to share a final keynote has been added to the program. Attendees will hear from Niko Matsakis and Jack Huey about their exciting work on the Rust project Vision Doc. Find it on the schedule here.
