Rust Foundation Associate Member Announcement | May 2025

DOVER, DELAWARE, May 6, 2025 –The Rust Foundation, an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the performance, safety, and sustainability of the Rust programming language, is pleased to welcome two new Associate-level member organizations. Like all Rust Foundation members, Associate Members play an active role in the organization’s mission to steward the Rust programming language and its global community.    

Rust Foundation Associate Members are educational institutions, public research facilities, and/or not-for-profit organizations whose missions align with the Rust Foundation’s work. Associate Members do not pay membership dues and instead engage in collaborative activities and benefit through public association with the Rust Foundation. Partnering with other nonprofits and institutions makes it possible for the Rust Foundation to better collaborate with organizations that share a vision for the future of the Rust programming language.

Please join us in welcoming the following new Rust Foundation Associate member organizations:

  • OpenAtom Foundation – Founded in Beijing, China in June 2020, the OpenAtom Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of the global open source community. The OpenAtom Foundation is committed to being a developer-oriented open source project incubation platform as well as a technology public welfare service organization. lt follows the principles of co-construction, co-governance, and sharing, systematically builds an open and collaborative framework, establishes an international open source community, facilitates industry collaboration, and empowers various industries.
  • Trifecta Tech Foundation – Trifecta Tech Foundation (TTF) is a public benefit organization based in The Netherlands. TTF develops and maintains open-source software for The Internet and our vital water, energy, and communication systems. Their mission is to make the digital world safer for everyone by creating robust building blocks that decrease attack surface.
