The Rust Foundation will participate in Talent Arena at MWC Barcelona with programming that spans strategic infrastructure leadership and hands-on engineering.
On the XPro Stage, Executive Director & CEO Dr. Rebecca Rumbul will present “Building the Future in Rust,” examining why Rust is evolving from a developer preference into a strategic infrastructure choice across safety-critical systems, AI infrastructure, telecom platforms, aerospace, automotive, and embedded environments. The session addresses resilience, security, performance, and long-term technology investment in global digital infrastructure.
The Foundation will also host a series of in-depth technical workshops led by Lawrence Freeman, Founder of Fledgio and a Rust Foundation Silver Member. These sessions include advanced async and trait patterns in production systems, building intelligent agents using Rust and open-source tooling, and a hands-on exploration of AI quantization, numeric precision, and inference performance.
These workshops mark the launch of Rust Foundation x Credly Workshop Completion Badges, providing participants with publicly verifiable recognition for demonstrated Rust expertise.
